WWE On tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, fans were expecting to see the culmination of the months long feud between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus.
However it would prove to not be the end of their feud as the rematch that was re-scheduled from SummerSlam had a non-finish.
After the pair took their brawling outside of the ring and were fighting in the crowd, the referee called the match due to a double count out.
While Lynch and Stratus continued to fight up the arena stairs and to a concourse merchandise display, it was there that Becky met up with another old foe.
With Zoey Stark popping up to defend Trish, both she and Stratus double teamed Lynch as fans stood by and watched.
Shortly later, Stark and Stratus were approached by Adam Pearce backstage who refuted their claims that Stratus had fulfilled her rematch requirement.
Pearce informed Stratus that she would have yet another match against Becky Lynch, this time in a steel cage.
There was not a date or place set for the aforementioned steel cage match, so it may be withheld until the next WWE premium live event, WWE Payback on September 2, 2023.
Stratus has previously commented that she has done a lot of things in her WWE career but competing in a steel cage match is one she had yet to check off the list.
