WWE Star Abandons Tag Team Partner

WWE Star Abandons Tag Team Partner WWE

Things aren’t going well for Chelsea Green since becoming WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with a new tag team partner.

On August 7, Sonya Deville would relinquish her half of the title due to a torn ACL, leading to Green wanting to hold auditions for a replacement partner.

Piper Niven made her intentions perfectly clear, not so much auditioning as just deciding this she was Green’s partner.

Since then, the effervescent Green has been trying to adjust to life with the much more serious and intimidating Piper Niven.

Suffice to say, it’s probably not going as well as could be hoped for Green, especially when it comes to Niven being backup.

In a backstage segment WWE posted after Raw, Green was attempting to explain her plans to the silent Niven before bumping into Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell and Raquel Rodqriguez.

Ever the humble champion, Green addressed all three, saying:

“Excuse me, champions coming through.

“Oh, I’m sorry, did you not understand? Did I not speak ‘loser’?

“Oh no, I get it. We’re having a pity party because you all lost to Rhea.

“Ooooh, you got dominated. Speaking of dominant, I am one half of the most dominant tag team in history.

“So, sorry not sorry that we are taking over Monday Night Raw. Right, Piper?”

Rodriguez would step forward, towering over Green, asking:

“What do you mean, we?”

It would be revealed that Niven had left her fellow champion hanging and realising the situation that she was in, Green would say:

“I’m sorry… did I hear… Piper… was that you?”

As she dashed off, the other three were highly amused by what had just transpired, with Hartwell calling the champion a “silly girl.”
