Top WWE Star Reveals What He Wants His Legacy To Be After Retirement WWE

The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes has revealed what he wishes his legacy to be in professional wrestling once he hangs up his boots.

During a Reddit Ask Me Anything, Cody was asked what he wished to be remembered for in the wrestling business once he calls quits on his career, with his answer speaking to his ambition and passion to leave a lasting legacy and continuing to see the industry flourish.

Cody answered:

The one in my generation who did the absolute most at moving our game into the stratosphere of mainstream entertainment!

A lot of the “left turns” and big gambles I have taken were for that very purpose.

The healthiest wrestling and sports entertainment have ever been is now.

Cody’s impact on the industry can be felt in both WWE and AEW, the latter of which was built from the efforts and drive of himself and The Elite (Kenny Omega, Nick & Matt Jackson).

While his imprint on AEW is undeniably Cody is currently at his absolute peak in terms of popularity and star power back in his original home of WWE, with a 2023 that saw him win the Royal Rumble, main event WrestleMania and defeat Brock Lesnar twice.

With Cody riding his highest wave of momentum at present, it’s no wonder he wouldn’t want it to end any time soon, something he discussed in a recent interview.
