WWE Signs First-Ever Licensing Deal With NFL WWE/NFL

WWE has signed a first-ever licensing deal with the NFL in a multi-year arrangement to create NFL-inspired WWE legacy title belts.

The deal will see designs for all 32 NFL teams, featuring their official branding and colors, according to a report from Sports Business Journal.

As noted by Sports Business Journal, this is the first-ever licensing deal between WWE and the NFL, with the title belts being available on both company’s online stores and through Fanatics.com.

WWE has previously struck deals for themed championship belts with the MLB in August 2021 and a deal to produce custom side plates for SEC teams in September 2022.

In 2020, Paul Levesque (Triple H) spoke about the relationship between WWE and the NFL that has seen the Superbowl winners receive a custom championship belt.

Speaking to Yahoo Sports, Levesque said:

“When you meet athletes over the years, they would see the championship belt and ask if they could hold it and ask if it was the actual title.

“You’d see these reactions and these moments and you had these opportunities. The WWE title started to symbolize being this over-the-top champion.”

The belts are available now from NFL Shop, WWE Shop and Fanatics.com.
