WWE A top WWE star is expected to return on the September 29 edition of SmackDown.
On the September 22 episode of SmackDown, John Cena and AJ Styles were set to sign the contract for a tag team match against The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa for WWE Fastlane.
However, Cena signed the contract, but Styles was unable to after being attacked backstage by Uso and Solo. This led to a beatdown on Cena by The Bloodline to end the show.
As previously reported, Fightful Select revealed that LA Knight was originally scheduled to make the save for Cena, but he tested positive for COVID-19 prior to the broadcast.
Per PWInsider, WWE sources have confirmed that Knight is expected to make his return on tomorrow’s September 29 episode of SmackDown from Sacramento, California.
John Cena is currently scheduled to face The Bloodline in a handicap match on October 7 at WWE Fastlane.
If the original plan was for LA Knight to be included in the bout, that should be addressed on tomorrow’s show.
