WWE Reveals Nostalgic NXT No Mercy Cold Open

WWE Reveals Nostalgic NXT No Mercy Cold Open WWE

WWE has debuted the nostalgic cold open for tomorrow’s Saturday September 30 premium live event, NXT No Mercy.

Featuring a vintage console booting up, the vignette mirrors the classic Nintendo 64 game WWF No Mercy and the classic load screen.

However with the NXT logo and NXT stars’ names featuring prominently, the premium live event seems to load up with commentator Vic Joseph’s voice being heard describing the big matchups set for the show.

With a recap of all the big action planned for the night, the cold open also features renderings of current NXT stars in a vintage WWF No Mercy style.

One of the most hotly anticipated matches of the night was also featured in the cold open, marking the feud between Tiffany Stratton and main roster star, Becky Lynch.

Stratton successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship at Great American Bash in a match against Thea Hail in Barbie inspired gear in a submission match.

Stratton would go on to lose the title to main roster star Becky Lynch after Lynch looked to become a Grand Slam Champion by capturing the last title that eluded her.

Tiffany Stratton is set to face off against Becky Lynch in a rematch for her recently lost WWE NXT Women’s Championship at No Mercy in an Extreme Rules match.
