AEW AEW Dynamite made a funny reference to Adam Copeland’s former ‘Edge’ moniker in the opening segment of tonight’s show.
In a backstage interview featuring Renee Paquette, Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, Omega dropped a funny line to Adam Copeland himself.
Telling Copeland that his debut had him on the ‘edge of his seat’, the wink to Copeland’s WWE moniker was obvious.
WWE owns the trademark for the name Edge, hence why Copeland can’t actually use it in AEW.
Also in the segment, Omega greeted Adam Copeland and extended the offer ‘if you ever need anything, let me know’. Intriguing!
