New Plans For AEW Signing Revealed AEW

An update has emerged on an AEW signing, who appears to be preparing to officially join the AEW roster following a recent match.

It was revealed in November 2023 that AEW had signed Megan Bayne, who had been had been a mainstay on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation prior to those brands ending.

Despite the fact that Bayne was wrestling in Japan for several promotions including STARDOM, the rising star had reportedly been working with an AEW contract for months by this point.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bayne has finished up with STARDOM and is expected to be starting with AEW properly soon.

Meltzer wrote:

Megan Bayne, who is under contract here, should be starting shortly. She had her final match with Stardom on 1/21.

She was in stardom to gain experience because the fastest learning curve for a woman wrestler is a Stardom tour because you work hard with good people and get regular ring time in several days a week in a highly structured environment.

Bayne teamed with HANAKO & Maika in a losing effort against Giulia, Mei Seira & Suzu Suzuki during the January 21 Stardom Award 2023 show.

She most recently competed for AEW in June 2023, teaming with Emi Sakura to face off against Maki Itoh & Willow Nightingale in a dark match at a Rampage taping.
