Rumoured WWE Signing No Longer Expected, In ‘Deep Discussions’ With AEW WWE/AEW

A free agent who was rumoured to be WWE-bound is no longer expected to be signing, and has been in ‘deep discussions’ with AEW.

Many big names in the wrestling world became free agents in 2024, with a lot of them still yet to officially sign contracts with a promotion.

One of those names is former NWA Women’s Champion Kamille, who officially became a free agent on January 1.

It had previously been reported by PWInsider that Kamille had major interest from WWE, with the company reportedly offering an NXT contract to the former NWA Women’s Champion.

However, in an update from PWInsider Elite (via WrestlePurists), Kamille is no longer expected to be signing with WWE.

While the company did have interest in her, PWInsider reports that those discussions are no longer moving forward.

Furthermore, PWInsider was told that Kamille has been in ‘deep discussions’ with AEW, and that the company has been seen as a stronger destination for her, as it would allow her to pursue additional acting work, which is another major personal goal of her’s.

Kamille’s experience working on the upcoming Mildred Burke biography film, where she is set to portray former NWA and AWA Women’s Champion June Byers, made her ‘bitten by the acting bug’ in a major way, with her hoping to pursue additional film and television work.

PWInsider also notes that Kamille now has representation to assist her in that area as well.
