WWE WWE NXT talent Lash Legend has shared high praise for Trick Williams following recent criticism surrounding the popular star.
Williams has significantly grown in popularity since his WWE in-ring debut in October 2021.
One of NXT’s top singles stars, Williams defeated Hayes in the main event of the April 6 Stand & Deliver event, NXT’s biggest show of the year.
The two stars faced off again on Tuesday’s (April 16) edition of NXT, with Williams defeating Hayes once again, this time in a steel cage match.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently criticised Williams’ work, arguing:
“Trick isn’t that good, that’s the reality. He’s got incredible charisma, but you put him in a main event match.
“Granted he did look really good against Ilja, but Ilja is one of those people that gives you a false perception of the ability of the other person, it’s like wrestling Ric Flair or a tag team wrestling the Young Bucks, you always look better.
“You see all these tag teams against the Young Bucks and think these guys are great, but they’re never great against anybody else, and Ilja is the same way.”
Lash Legend has now taken to Twitter to give Williams his flowers, writing:

Legend and Williams are a real-life couple and have recently interacted on WWE TV, with Williams reversing her attempted surprise attack into a passionate kiss on the March 12 NXT episode.
Despite his popularity, Williams hasn’t had a significant stint as a champion in WWE. Trick notably defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the NXT North American Championship at No Mercy 2023, but dropped the gold back to Mysterio on the following episode of NXT.
