A WWE star has been officially confirmed for only his second on-screen match in nine months, and we’ll be able to see it tonight.
NXT’s Kale Dixon had an extended period of absence away from the WWE ring after July 2023.
His first match back after that was February 2024, and now we’ll be seeing him on our screens for the first time since then tonight, April 19.
This past Tuesday, April 16, Dixon taped a match for NXT Level Up against Riley Osborne before that night’s live NXT TV began.
WWE has now confirmed the Dixon vs Osborne match will air on tonight’s Level Up – one of three out of the four matches taped on Tuesday that’ll air tonight.
Between his February appearance and tonight, Dixon has worked a couple of untelevised house show matches, but it’s been almost two months since we’ve seen him on Level Up.
The other matches set for tonight’s show include a tag team match with Javier Bernal and Drake Morreaux teaming up against Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.
There’s also a singles match between Karmen Petrovic and Wren Sinclair.
Jaida Parker vs Carlee Bright was also taped on the same night, but that’ll presumably air next week instead.
It’s unknown exactly why it was taped in advance instead of just taping the three weekly matches as normal – it usually means NXT is preparing for a week without taping anything for Level Up, which could be for a variety of reasons.
Level Up airs on Peacock/WWE Network every Friday right after SmackDown.
