Former WWE Name’s First AEW Project Revealed WWE/AEW

A former WWE name who left the company after over a decade has revealed his first project with AEW in the form of a limited edition artwork.

Rob Schamberger was the host of Canvas 2 Canvas, featuring his portraiture of WWE wrestlers and has an association with the company that lasted for over a decade.

In an Instagram post on April 15, 2024, the former WWE Artist in Residence revealed:

“After over a decade, my time with WWE has come to a close.

“I’m grateful that I had the opportunity over this period of time to focus on making art and I’m so lucky that doing so has brought so many wonderful people into my life.

“I’ve had the opportunity to learn from some of the smartest and most capable people in their fields that I’ve ever met.

“Real friendships, people that I truly love, have been the result of this experience.

“And it brought you, the person reading this, into my life. How amazing is that?”

It has now been revealed that this isn’t the end of Schamberger’s work in the wrestling world, with AEW commissioning their first limited edition art work.

A new listing on the Shop AEW website has revealed that Schamberger has crafted a portrait of Swerve Strickland.

The artwork, which can be seen below, measures 18″ x 24″ and will be hand-numbered, with only 100 prints in total.
