WWE Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has dropped a “tease” for his first title defence at Backlash 2024.
After Roman Reigns’ near four-year run of dominance over WWE’s main event scene, the Undisputed WWE Championship will be contested without him, as the new face of the company Cody Rhodes defends against AJ Styles at Backlash.
WWE’s first-ever Premium Live Event in France, will also stage another first as Rhodes and Styles have never before faced off one-on-one inside a ring.
Ahead of the bout Rhodes took to his Instagram to post a story, which showed off a first look at his entrance jacket for Backlash.
You can see the teaser Rhodes posted down in the embedded tweet below.
As well as Rhodes’ WWE Championship defence, there are another three bouts set for Backlash which will be contested for title gold.
World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest also looks to defend his title for the first time against Jey Uso, while Bayley also looks to do the same as she defends her WWE Women’s Championship against Naomi and Tiffany Stratton.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will also be on the line as The Kabuki Warriors defend against the formidable duo of Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
