WWE WWE Hall of Famer and current NXT commentator Booker T has given big props to United States Champion Logan Paul.
Since his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 38, Logan Paul has become one of the biggest stars on the WWE roster. He captured his first WWE championship gold in only the fifth match os his career when he defeated Rey Mysterio to become the United States Champion.
Speaking on The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T was asked about the upcoming bout between Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul potentially being a Title for Title match. He answered:
“I feel like Cody’s title should just be on the line. Personally, I’m not often into one guy having two titles, even though I’ve been a double champion before, and it felt good.”
“It felt really, really good, but no, I’m not one to take that route, as far as one guy having two titles.”
“In a match-up like this, I feel like the big title, Cody Rhodes’ title, should be on the line, just to make it a little bit more intriguing,”
Providing additional thoughts on the Rhodes vs. Paul match, Booker said:
“Cody, he’s smart, man. Logan Paul, he’s a guy that has shown that he can go out and do it under the bright lights, on the biggest stages. He’s shown that he can go out and perform.”
“With Cody Rhodes, together, those guys can go out there and create some beautiful magic. Cody’s a pro. He’s gonna know exactly how to put Logan in the best positions.”
“Logan seems to be smart enough to go out and perform at a very, very high level. Sometimes, it’s like that deja vu effect. It seems like he’s been here once before.”
“So I just give that kid a lot of props because I haven’t seen one like him come along before, seriously.”
“Logan Paul is not someone from this business, but it seems like, from a timing perspective, from knowing how to go out and perform on both ends, he’s that damn good. I give him big props,”
