WWE Star ‘On Borrowed Time’ Legitimate Injury Update

WWE Star ‘On Borrowed Time’ Legitimate Injury Update WWE

There has been an update on a WWE star who has been wrestling ‘on borrowed time’ suffering a legitimate injury.

Yesterday, WWE announced that Viking Raider Ivar was set to be out of action indefinitely following the attack at the hands of the returning Gallus to close out NXT.

It was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ivar was given time off after working extra hard in recent weeks, with the injury angle being a work.

However, in an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Ivar’s injury is not a work whatsoever, and he will be legitimately out of action.

The severity of Ivar’s injury isn’t known as of yet, but Fightful was told that Ivar has long wrestled as if he is on ‘borrowed time’ after his double fusion neck surgery several years ago.

Ivar was replaced in the ongoing WWE Speed tournament by Apollo Crews, who is now set to face off with Tyler Bate.

We wish Ivar all the best and a full and complete recovery from his injury.
