WWE/AEW Another former WWE World Champion turned AEW star has wrapped up his time with the company according to a new report.
Following Mark Henry and Arn Anderson announcing their AEW departures, a current wrestler is reportedly gone as well.
According to a report from Bodyslam.net, Jake Hager is currently a free agent.
It is reported that his contract expired and he has elected to not re-sign with AEW. The move is said to have been mutual between Hager and All Elite Wrestling.
As of this writing, Hager is still listed on AEW’s official website roster page, but there have been a multitude of examples where it’s taken time for that page to be updated to reflect reality. Still, we’ll keep you posted.
Jake Hager has been with AEW since the beginning of Dynamite on television in 2019, making his debut on the first ever episode and aligning with Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle.
Similarly, another WWE alum Mark Henry has confirmed that he is departing the company at the end of his current contract.
Recently Henry hit back at comments about his critiques of the company amid discussion surrounding his exit.
Matt Hardy has also publicly spoken about his current free agency, electing to instead work in TNA Wrestling in lieu of making any long term commitment to either AEW or WWE.
Also departing AEW, Arn Anderson is set to wrap up his time in the company, confirming on his most recent podcast episode that May 31 is his last day.
