WWE A WWE name has seemingly confirmed a new role on television on tonight’s episode of NXT after having previously been teased as a manager.
While Robert Stone had been seen possibly working with Dante Chen, it seems that his efforts at match brokerage have turned official.
In the show’s opening segment, Mr Stone was seen alongside NXT General Manager Ava to greet ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page arriving at the Performance Center to discuss potential terms of signing a contract with the brand.
While in storyline Page has not signed with WWE and remains a ‘free agent’, he also seemingly had a plethora of demands for Ava.
Later in a backstage segment, Robert Stone was shown again with with Ava after exiting her office with Ethan Page.
She thanked Mr Stone for helping her out with the melee that ended the in-ring segment between the six women set for the first ever NXT Women’s North American Championship ladder match.
Stone set up a six-woman tag match between the six stars (Lash Legend, Fallon Henley, Sol Ruca, Michin, Kelani Jordan and Jaida Parker) but also commented he thought he could ‘spice it up’.
Stone had been caught with no defined role for a few weeks after previously being the manager for Von Wagner, who was recently released – but it looks like he is now very much Ava’s assistant.
