Advertised WWE SmackDown Match Canceled

Advertised WWE SmackDown Match Canceled WWE

There were several changes made ahead of tonight’s WWE SmackDown as one match was altered and one was scrapped entirely.

One previously announced match was set to feature Angel versus Apollo Crews, but in a backstage segment, Crews was attacked.

With Legado Del Fantasma attacking Crews, it became clear he would be in no condition to compete, and Nick Aldis called the match off.

LA Knight then walked in demanding to know where Logan Paul was since he wasn’t appearing tonight on SmackDown in Louisville, when it was revealed that Paul was occupied in Los Angeles at a World Tetris Competition.

When Carmelo Hayes also walked up with attitude for LA Knight, Nick Aldis pivoted plans and made a match between the two of them in place of the canceled Angel vs Crews match.

In the end, LA Knight defeated Carmelo Hayes and then borrowed Wade Barrett’s headset to cut a promo on Logan Paul, vowing to bring the SmackDown to the social media star.

Elsewhere, a match that was originally billed to be Jade Cargill taking on Indi Hartwell became a tag team bout with Cargill and Belair taking on and defeating Candice LeRae and Hartwell.

It’s unknown exactly why the changes were made, but we will of course keep you posted with any updates.

Next week on SmackDown from Glasgow, Scotland, Michin will take on Nia Jax, Naomi will take on Chelsea Green, and an episode of the Grayson Waller Effect featuring DIY as guests.
