Cody Rhodes Teases Heading To WWE NXT

With NXT Battleground live right now, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has teased making a trip to NXT this week.

Taking to social media during the premium live event, Cody confirmed he was watching Battleground and was even inspired to possibly make a visit.

Rhodes wrote on Twitter during the show:

Watching @WWENXT Battleground curious how my old friend @OfficialEGO will do against @_trickwilliams

( Actually thinking of “dashing” down to FL this week with a gift and see some old friends )

Cody Rhodes has made a previous appearance on NXT in October 2023 where he had several interactions with the Performance Center stars – the same episode that featured appearances from John Cena and The Undertaker, among others.

This would mark Rhodes’ first return to NXT since having won the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Elsewhere at tonight’s NXT Battleground, Kelani Jordan became the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion.

Also, Axiom and Nathan Frazer were able to retain their NXT Tag Team titles against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
