WWE/AEW A currently contracted AEW talent was reportedly spotted backstage at tonight’s June 11 episode of WWE NXT.
In an episode that featured a reference to AEW on TV, there was current AEW presence backstage as well.
According to a report from Fightful Select, AEW’s Rebel was at tonight’s NXT.
The report notes that it’s unknown exactly why she was there, but Fightful was told she’s “personally connected to someone who works at NXT”.
Rebel hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since 2022, with her last match having been a dark match in August of that year.
Rebel previously appeared on screen alongside Britt Baker as well as Jamie Hayter, both of whom are currently out of action recovering from injuries.
Fightful confirmed that Rebel is still under contract with AEW despite her lack of appearances in recent times.

As mentioned, on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, there was an on-screen AEW reunion of sorts as Cody Rhodes happened to bump into three familiar faces backstage.
