WWE Star Reveals Son Is Showing Interest In Wrestling Training WWE

Kevin Owens has revealed that his son has recently taken his first steps to becoming a wrestler at the age of 16.

Owens, who started training at the age of 14 and had his first match on his 16th birthday, revealed the news on NHL Now.

Speaking about his son, Owen, Kevin Owens revealed that the teenager had recently got into the ring for the first time, saying:

“He’s 16, he’s back there [behind the camera]. He’s six-foot-eight. He’s hard to miss [Kevin said about his son].

“He got in the ring last week for the first time so yeah, that might be an avenue.

“It was pretty awesome to see, and with WWE obviously, I’m able to kind of bring him to the best possible place to start training so, it’s great to see him kind of have the interest, at least give it a shot and see what happens… Yeah, it’s a real thrill.”

With WWE heading to Toronto, Ontario, Canada for SmackDown, Money in the Bank and NXT Heatwave, Owens also opened up about the financial impact of a return to his home country, saying:

“Just my family takes up about 15 people (when WWE has shows in Canada) and then there’s friends. ‘It’s in Canada. We gotta go’

“So, I actually got an email from the Scotiabank Arena about, ‘Hey, you know that suite you’re buying for your whole family? It’s time to pay for it.’

“So, yeah, it’s not cheap, it’s not cheap.”

WWE Money in the Bank takes place on Saturday, July 6, following the previous night’s SmackDown, with NXT Heatwave closing the weekend on July 7.

At WWE Money in the Bank, Owens will team with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes to face the Bloodline in a six-man tag team match.

In May 2024, Owens revealed that he has nine months left on his current WWE contract.
